The State of Florida could soon
have a retired NBA superstar in the person of Shaquille O’Neal join the police
as a reserve officer. This is coming on the heels as the former NBA most
valuable player applied to be a reserve police officer for Doral, which is just
about 13 miles away from Miami.
To qualify to wear the badge, O’Neal
is expected to pass a Florida official certification exam as well as a
background check.
According to Time
reports, the exams are basically to test the for NBA superstar’s physical and
psychological fitness.
Should the 7 ft. 1 in
former superstar be accepted, the reserve
officer will be that latest entry on a resume that has become increasingly eclectic
since O'Neal Rookie of the Year winning NBA season in 1993.
