Brave Heart-British Nurse Who Survived Ebola Fly Back To Sierra Leone To Help

Brave Heart; William Pooley deserves commendation
William Pooley; does the name ring a bell in your heart? Well just to remind you that he was the same nurse who was recently treated with an experimental drug after contracting the Ebola Virus Disease while working in Sierra Leone.

He said he was 'delighted' to help other British medics in Sierra Leone in a bid to prevent “as many unnecessary deaths as possible.”

29-year-old Pooley who was treated with an experimental drug flew out tonight (October 19) despite uncertainty over whether he is immune to the disease.

"I would like to once again thank the team at the Royal Free Hospital and the RAF who provided me with such excellent treatment and support," he said in a statement.

“But the real emergency is in West Africa, and the teams out there need all the support we can give them.

“I am now looking forward to getting back out there and doing all I can to prevent as many unnecessary deaths as possible.”

Pooley’s bravery is quite commendable I must admit.
