A 15 year old boy in
the United States on Monday was subdued by the Police when he came to school
with a semi-automatic pistol fully loaded. The incident occurred in an Ohio
High School, but reports say no gun was fired during the struggle.
The incident, which took place at Kenmore High School in
Akron Ohio on Monday, saw the officer sustain an arm injury in the process of
struggling to collect the pistol from the 15 year old; the school was however,
shut down for about an hour.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports
the student had been serving an in-school suspension for smoking and was
disciplined again on Monday morning.
Akron schools spokesman Mark Williamson says the student left
the building and when he returned, the assistant principal and an officer tried
to take him into custody.
During the struggle, the officer could feel a gun inside the
student’s clothing. The officer eventually restrained the boy and secured the
loaded .45-caliber pistol.
The 15 year old teenager now faces multiple charges.
