Resignation-Presidency Blasts Tinubu

The Presidency yesterday berated APC Chieftain and former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu for demanding the resignation of President Goodluck Jonathan.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said it was clear that Tinubu and other leaders in the All Progressive Congress who made the statement were merely seeking to enthrone anarchy in Nigeria.

“We Will Not Allow Thieves To Rule Us As Governor Or As President In 2015”-Amaechi

We have been there before now, and name-calling among Nigerian politicians is nothing new to most of us; at least not to those of us who have been following politics for a while now. The latest gist is that Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi today in Port Harcourt blasted the President for non-performance.

He said the current administration led by President Goodluck Jonathan has turned corruption to an industry in Nigeria. ”We will not allow thieves to rule us as governor or as president in 2015. I challenge them to an integrity test. Don’t worry their files are with me until the time comes.”

Amaechi challenged the President to point to one federal project he has cited in Rivers state for about two million votes he got from the state.
