El Classico Showdown-Facebook’s Data Gives Barcelona Slight Edge Over Madrid

Barca in red, Madrid in white
As the world eagerly awaits this weekend’s El Classico match between European Champions Real Madrid and Barcelona both of Spain; social media giant Facebook has released a data, which shows that Barcelona is slightly ahead of their bitter rivals, Madrid.

The released data shows that Barcelona has 77 million likes across the world, while Real Madrid has 75.5 million likes.

Reports also show that Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid is the first sportsman in the world to clock 100 million Facebook likes.

According to the above map, countries such as Nigeria, Brazil, Britain, and several others in red are rooting for Barca, while countries such as Portugal and others in white are in support of Real Madrid.

However, this weekend’s result will not be determined by the millions of Facebook likes each team gets; but by a couple of factors both on the bench and on the pitch.

One player likely to make his Classico debut tomorrow is Luis Suarez, who ditched Liverpool in the summer for the Catalan giant, Barcelona of Spain.

One player out of this weekend’s match is world’s most expensive player, Gareth Bale, who has been ruled out by injury.
