Hassan Aboud, head
of one of Syria’s largest rebel groups was killed in a suicide bombing
alongside twenty of his leading fighters. This was reported by the media
reported Tuesday night. This latest attack may further weaken the country’s
already shaky armed opposition.
State TV reported the group’s head, Hassan Aboud, had been
killed in the attack. However, other reports said he had been wounded.
The group is part of the Islamic Front, a coalition of seven
rebel groups.
In February, Ahrar al-Sham blamed the rival Islamic State
group for an attack which killed several of its members.
