Aftermath of the crisis that engulfed
Ekiti State in which a judge was beaten up, there has been a report of the
shooting of the former National Union of Road Transport Workers Mr Omolafe
Aderiye by unknown gunmen in Ijigbo area of Ado Ekiti.
The
late Aderiye was a staunch supporter of governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose and was
part of the thugs taken by the governor elect to court to attack a state high
court judge on Thursday morning.
Residents told SaharaReporters late evening that Aderiye was
killed by unknown gunmen at Ijigbo area in Ado Ekiti.
He was on his way home when the gunmen numbering about four
accosted and shot him at close range.
