Four persons may have lost their lives in Lagos Island Sunday
as thugs clashed. This may not be unconnected with the death of one Otun Azeez Asake,
feared and regarded by many as the “most powerful Area Boy” on the Island.
According to Punch, Asake was murdered by some unknown
suspected political thugs after the People’s Democratic Party rally that took
place at the Tafawa Balewa Square TBS yesterday, Saturday.
Reports have it that crisis escalated this afternoon (Sunday)
when rival Area Boys, suspected to be from the camp of the late Asake, stormed
the camp of one Abija and allegedly killed three persons.
Casualty figure is yet to be ascertained as at the time of
filing this report.
