All things being equal, campaigners of #BringBackOurGirls and
other groups have concluded plans to stage an anti-Jonathan protests in the
nation’s capital Abuja on Wednesday October 1, which is Nigeria’s Independence
Day celebration.
The protest is expected to have some pro democracy groups in
attendance. According to a member of the group, who spoke to the Sun in
anonymity, the group decided to stage the protest on Nigeria’s Independence Day
because the government and other officials will mark the day.
The group hopes to compel the government to step up its plan
to bring back the Chibok girls.
