A civil rights organisation, Anti-Corruption Network has
given the Federal Government a one week ultimatum to ensure that the South West
leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Buruji Kashamu, is extradited to
the United States for prosecution over alleged criminal charges.
The group threatens legal action against the Federal
Government of Nigeria should its petition be ignored within the one week
ultimatum.
Mr. Timi Frank, the groups Director said in a statement
obtained by journalists on today, Monday in the Federal Capital Abuja, that it
had written a petition to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister
of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN), to that effect.
