Ebola-Sierra Leone Begins A Three-Day Shutdown To Raise Awarness

Freetown
In order to raise awareness and curb the spread of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, which has continued to ravage some West African Countries including Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea; the Sierra Leone Government has ordered a three-day shutdown of the country.

The government has trained nearly 30,000 volunteers to hand out soaps and raise awareness about the disease. The campaign has been tagged 'House-To-House-Tok.'

Meanwhile, there is good news somewhere in West Africa as the Lagos State Government Friday announced that the last suspected Ebola patient placed under surveillance has tested negative and has subsequently been released to go back home.
