Update On Boko Haram-More Terrorists Surrender

As we eagerly await the official confirmation of the death of leader of Nigeria’s terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau, indications have emerged that more terrorists have surrendered to the Nigerian troops.

A tweet posted yesterday by the Defence Headquarters revealed that 10 more terrorists have surrendered.

“Another Set of 10 Terrorists yesterday surrendered to Troops at Kawuri. In custody for necessary security debriefing”

This brings the number of terrorists who have surrendered to about 40 including the five who surrendered in Konduga yesterday.

Boko Haram- Is Shekau Finally Killed?

Unconfirmed reports have emerged that the Nigerian troops may have killed the man said to be mimicking the current leader of the Boko Haram sect. This may come as a major victory for the Nigerian troops who have been engaging the sect in serious gun battles in the last few weeks.

Reports from PR Nigeria quoted a source in the military as saying that: “it is getting more certain that the terrorists’ commander who has been mimicking Shekau in those videos is the one killed in Konduga on September 17, 2014.”

Boko Haram Militants Surrender To Nigerian Troops

Five members of the Islamic sect known as Boko Haram have surrendered to the Nigerian troops in Konduga, Defence Headquarters revealed.

This revelation was made known through the twitter page of the Defence Headquarters Sunday.

DHQ said the insurgents pleaded for mercy after surrendering their weapons. It said some of the captured insurgents were already giving useful information.
