Ebola-Second Healthcare Worker Tests Positive In Texas

A healthcare worker who was part of the medical team that attended to Thomas Eric Duncan has been taken into isolation.

The health worker, who reported a fever yesterday, was immediately taken into isolation at the hospital, while health officials interviewed the patient to find out any potential exposure.

Recall that Nurse Nina Pham is currently in isolation, and she is being treated for the deadly virus, which she contracted while caring for the late Duncan.

Meanwhile the United Nations say weekly outbreak of the virus could reach 10,000 every week by December if urgent steps are not taken to curb its spread. The virus has currently killed more than 4,447 people, with Liberia and Sierra Leone reporting very high casualties.
