Some armed men suspected to be members of the Islamic sect,
Boko Haram have reportedly attacked Shaffa and Shindiffu villages of Hawul
Local Government Area of Borno state, burning churches and killing 19 people
including a pastor of the Living Faith Church.
This recent development is coming on the heels of various
victories achieved by the Nigerian Military over the sect in which their leader
was killed.
The event which occurred yesterday, Wednesday September 25th
also claimed the life of a pastor named Eliud Gwamna Mshelizza of the Living
Faith Church, and a teacher whose name was not disclosed, but was said to be
working at the Government Girls Secondary School Shaffa.
According to the Daily
Independent, those killed were mostly Christians as the communities were
mostly Christian dominated.
